Lindsay Lohan is set to star on hit musical television show Glee.

The 25-year-old actress is getting her life back on track after several years of hitting the headlines more for her off camera antics than her work on screen.

But as she approaches Thursday, when a judge is likely to release her from her formal probation, Lindsay's career appears to be on the rise again.

Us Weekly confirmed with the starlet's representative that she will star on the popular show in an upcoming episode.

"[Lindsay] will serve as a celebrity judge at Nationals," an insider told TVLine.com on the role she will play.

The Mean Girls star joins a list of other celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and Neil Patrick Harris who have also had guest spots.

Lindsay received mixed reviews for her hosting duties on Saturday Night Live earlier this month and she is set to star in the title role of an Elizabeth Taylor biopic.

Lindsay has reportedly completed all of her court-ordered duties and Judge Stephanie Sautner, so long as nothing happens between now and then, will sign off for her to be a free woman later this week.

The final progress report hearing stems from her necklace theft case last year.
