Charlize Theron has been seen out for the first time with her son Jackson.

The 36-year-old Oscar winner made the surprise revelation on March 14 that she had adopted a baby boy.

And yesterday she ventured out with the four-month-old as she readies him for a globe-trotting lifestyle.

The South African beauty went to her local post office to get a passport for her bundle of joy so he can travel with her around the world.

"Jackson will go wherever she goes," an insider told Us Weekly. "Charlize will be a full-time mom."

Charlize carried her son in his car seat to and from her vehicle but had it covered up with a muslin swaddling blanket so his face was not visible.

A friend told the publication that the Monster star "really loves the name" she chose for her son who is believed to be an African American little boy.

Charlize dated boyfriend Stuart Townsend for nine years before they split in early 2010.

"It's been a long time in the making," another source said adding that Charlize had spent most of last year embroiled in the adoption process to become a single mother.
