Lisa Kudrow: Friends reunion will never happen

7th May 2012

Lisa Kudrow says that she does not believe a Friends reunion would "ever happen."

The star of the hit 90s sitcom, which also made household names out of Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox and Matt LeBlanc, shot down long standing hope of seeing the funny team back together again.

In an interview with E! Online, Lisa said that fans should give up hope of a reprisal ten years after the last episode aired.

"I don't think it will ever happen whether any of us want it to happen or not," Lisa told the site.

"I don't think any of us would do it unless [Friends co-creators] David Crane and Marta Kauffman wrote it and I don't know how they could do it."

But Lisa gave just a ray of optimism when she said that a Friends movie could happen but it wouldn't be a reunion of the original cast.

"Like the Brady Bunch [movie] was hilarious because it was a spoof," she laughed. "I can't wait from 10, 20 years from now to see the younger actors. I think that will be really fun."

The series which regularly saw the gang gathered at Central Perk coffee shop ran from September 22 1994 to May 6 2004. (C) Cover Media
