(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Liza Minnelli has sold a pair of epaulettes given to her by Michael Jackson in a yard sale.

The Hollywood icon had a clear out of her Lake Tahoe home and sold on a wide variety of props, gifts and souvenirs from her glittering showbiz career, including lampshades, wine glasses, worn dance shoes - and a set of ornamental shoulder pieces given to her by the late pop superstar.

The 65-year-old had simply posted an ad in a local paper - the East Hampton Star offering "a truckload of celebrity-owned items . . . don't bother coming early, entertainers sleep in".

Browsers who had come to view the rare items on offer were not only able to choose from Liza's jewellery, costumes, couture clothing and furniture, but were greeted and served by the lady herself.

The entertainment legend signed all of the purchases and even joked about some of the random things found in the sale.

"You've got to keep on trucking, folks, keep on trucking!" she said of a book on hip replacements, signed by her surgeon. (C) Cover Media
