She was soon dropped from the cast before the show actually went on-air and Hilary lost all hopes. Nevertheless, she auditioned for the Disney show Lizzie McGuire and got the lead role. Hilary became a favourite among young girls and soon became a househole name. She is still known as Lizzie, more than she is known by her real name.
Hilary soon started off acting in several Disney movies and debuted in her first feature film "Agent Cody Banks". Along with acting, she made several guest appearances on Television shows and also recorded several songs.

Hilary Duff and her boyfriend of three years, "Mike Comrie" married on August 14, 2010 in Santa Barbara, California. On August 14, 2011, Duff announced via her official website that she and her husband are expecting their first child together.
Hilary Duff is not just a glamour icon, she is in fact, also a philanthrophist of sorts. She is involved in various charities, is a member of Kids with a cause and an animal enthusiast. In July 2009, Duff was named as a Youth Ambassador to the children of the Colombian capital, Bogota.
