Lyricist Viveka is on cloud nine. The peppy number 'En Frienda pola yaaru Machchan' that he penned for "Nanban" is a big hit with the youth and has been doing the rounds in the form of caller-tunes and ring-tones.

It is being used for ad commercials and people are discussing the song on social networking sites. “The song, which speaks about friendship, has almost become an ‘anthem’ for friends in schools and colleges. Thanks to Shankar sir and Harris Jayaraj,” says an elated Viveka.

Viveka has no qualms in using English words in Tamil songs. “If it reaches the targeted audience, there’s nothing wrong in using English.
