Madhuri extends the olive branch to her ex-manager

18th March 2014

Two years ago when Bollywood Diva Madhuri Dixit shifted back to Mumbai from Denver where she moved after marriage, there was one controversy that troubled her for a long time.

In order to revive her career, the actress followed some advice from her husband Sriram Nene and opted for a talent management agency instead of going by the traditional method of having a manager. Due to this she ended her contract with her manager of three decades, Mr. Rakesh Nath a.k.a Rikku.

Their association dated back to 1985, but Madhuri amicably decided to end it in October 2012.

Since then all was not well between them, as Rikku had been a loyal to Madhuri even when she was on a sabbatical from the industry. He was the only one who was in constant touch with her and assisted her on all her trips to India while she was based in Denver nurturing her married life.

However, Madhuri decided to bring back the old charm to her equation with her former manager recently.

After a year-long coldness, Madhuri took the first step and broke the ice as she invited Rikku to a special screening of her latest release 'Gulaab Gang'

However, as Madhuri was too late for the event, Rikku left the venue without watching the film; he later made up for the loss as he caught the film recently. He also confirmed the reconciliation.

"I liked the film, Madhuri acted very well. I told her so when I called her after watching the film. We had a long chat and it was good to speak to her after such a long time," Rikku said.

When asked whether he will work with Madhuri in the future, he didn't sound positive. "I don't know... I don't think so," he said.
