Madhuri Dixit, someone who we usually refer to as 'Mumbaichi Mulgi' might have just lost that image when she demanded a whopping Rs.9 crore to be the brand ambassador for Maharashtra tourism.

Obviously, her refusal was not taken in the right manner and she was in news for all the wrong reasons.

Nitesh Rane, son of Industries Minister Narayan Rane expressed his unhappiness on his microblogging page. Soon after this incident, the actress was also indirectly taunted by Ajit Pawar for not attending the state awards.

However, whatever said and done.....The question still remained.....If not Madhuri then who?

Sachin Tendulkar was also said to be a strong contender, however due his cricket commitments he could not take on the role.

So now, the latest that we have heard is that our very own Superhero Krishh aka Hrithik Roshan has been approached for the same.

A source revealed that Hrithik was approached by a few ministers, offering him to be the brand ambassador for Maharashtra tourism, to which Hrithik apparently agreed. However, an official announcement is yet to be made. And if that happens, we can soon expect seeing B-Town's style icon playing a completely different role. 

After posing as the ambassador for various fashion brands, it's time to see Hrithik doing something different.....Something for Maharashtra!
