(Cover) - EN Star Style - Madonnas former personal trainer has claimed the stars Hard Candy gym is merely as an endorsement.

Last year the pop star opened her first Hard Candy Gym in Mexico City, and she plans for the chain to continue to grow across the globe.

But expert Tracy Anderson, who the singer employed until 2009, isn't convinced about the project.

I think we all know when a celebrity is going to attach their name to something that is in an industry that theyre not in, theyre just doing an endorsement and thats fine, the 41-year-old told Star magazine. But I think that you wouldnt want to go to a man who plays a doctor on TV to get prescribed something, would you?

Tracy, who has worked with actresses including Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston, is not surprised that Madonna, 52, opted to market herself in this way. And she is adamant that she will not be following suit.

I knew she was going to be doing it. I could put my name on a gym and put them all over the world if I wanted to, but that would be irresponsible to what I do, Tracy explained.

Tracy and Madonna parted ways two years ago although Tracy admits they are still in touch every now and then and are on good terms. (C) Cover Media
