(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Madonna's life and pop career is being turned into a comic book.
The Queen of Pop will become part of Bluewater Productions Inc. Female Force series, which has previously depicted the life stories of Michelle Obama, Barbara Walters and Margaret Thatcher.
The 52-year-old's rise to worldwide fame is being drawn up by Michael Johnson and written by C.W. Cook, with a release date set for August 2011.
The 32 page book will retail at $3.99.
"Our goal is to show the little-known events and influences that resulted in Madonna becoming the phenomenon she remains to this day, more than a quarter-century after she burst upon the scene," Jason Schultz, Bluewater's executive vice president, said. "A visual medium provides perspective that is not only accessible but more relatable to the average person without losing any of the information involved."
C.W. Cooke explained why Madonna was the perfect choice for the series of powerful women.
He said no other female pop star has influenced the music industry like the iconic trendsetter.
"Most pop stars owe everything to this woman. It's amazing all of the things that she's done in her lifetime, and I have a feeling that this is still only the beginning," he said. (C) Cover Media
