September 23, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Malayalam film megastar Mammootty has allotted dates to director Shaji for his next movie, which is aimed to release during Christmas this year.

The director's last film with Mammotty titled Drona was a big flop at the Box Office. It was released in January 2010 with mixed reviews from critics. However, this failure has not discouraged Mammootty to sign another film of the director.

Shaji Kailash is making the film for Aroma international and is aiming to have a Christmas release. The film is likely to start shooting by the mid of October and most of the shots will be captures in and around the capital city.

The director had been coming with subsequent flops in recent times with the films like Alibhai, Sound of boot, Time and Drona. So, he will definitely try his best to make this Mammootty starrer film a big hit during the festive season. This may get him back the lost glory in the Malayalam film industry.

In the meantime, Mammootty will have two other releases before the Shaji directed movie becomes ready for release. One of them will be M A Nishad's Best of Luck and Martin Prakkat's Best Actor. He is now busy shooting for his first Kannada film titled Shikaari.
