Today, i.e. 16th September is the birthday of one of the most sensational tropical salsa dancer and pop singer Marc Anthony. Marc chose to celebrate his birthday with the long time best friend Will Smith at an American Football match, Miami Dolhins, in Miami Gardens, Florida. This has put to an end to all the rumors which were afloat regarding a rift between the two best friends.

Born as Marco Antonio Muniz on the 16th September, 1968, in New York City, Marc Anthony had music in his blood. His father Felipe Muniz was a musician and had named his son after the Mexican singer Marco Antonio Muniz. 

Marc Anthony's career began as a session vocalist for freestyle and Underground New York house music acts. Anthony worked as a songwriter and backing vocalist for pop acts including Menudo and the Latin Rascals. His first album was a freestyle music record, "Rebel", in 1988 on Bluedog Records. After 1992, he changed his style from freestyle to salsa and other Latin styles. In 1999,  Anthony released an English-language, self-titled album with the US Top 5 single "I Need to know". His song "You Sang To Me" was featured in the movie 'Runaway Bride'. 

Apart from composing, singing and dancing, he has also acted in a few projects like 'Big Night' and 'The Substitute'. He has won several awards throughout his career like the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album and Latin Grammy Award for Song of the Year, etc...

Marc Anthnoy's personal life has always been very colourful and interesting. After a rocky marriage with Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, he got married to Jennifer Lopez. They split in 2011 but their upcoming international talent show, "!Q'Viva!" and Kohl's fashion and home lines which they are doing together, will go as planned.
