(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Sources say Maria Shriver has hired a divorce lawyer, although claim she still isn't sure which steps to take next.

Earlier this month it was announced that the journalist and her actor husband Arnold Schwarzenegger, former Governor of California, had called time on their 25-year marriage.

Arnold then announced this week that he had fathered a child with another woman while married to Maria, although he didn't give details to protect the privacy of the mother and child.

It has now been claimed that Maria has hired respected Los Angeles family law attorney Laura Wasser to represent her, although she apparently isn't sure if she wants to make the split permanent.

"Maria hasn't decided yet if she wants to end her marriage," a source is quoted as saying in People.

Sources also claimed that Maria had in fact hired Laura before news of the scandal was made public.

A representative for Maria has no comment on the divorce.

Earlier this week RadarOnline, TMZ and Star magazine identified Arnold's former mistress as being Mildred Patricia Baena, who is known as Patty. Sources told RadarOnline.com that Mildred had been eager to reveal details of the affair when she had been released from her job working as a housekeeper for Arnold and his family around four weeks ago.

Recent reports have suggested Arnold had purchased a 200,000 home for Mildred and his secret son, believed to now be 14, in Bakersfield, California, which boasted a swimming pool and wasn't far from his family's Los Angeles mansion. (C) Cover Media
