(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mariah Carey has been struggling to ignore her cravings for cakes.

The singer has been seen working out with her personal trainer around New York in recent weeks. Mariah is determined to shed her baby weight after giving birth to twins Monroe and Moroccan in April. Although she is sticking to her exercise regime, she is finding it difficult to maintain a healthy diet.

The 41-year-old has a sweet tooth and reportedly made a secret visit to one of her favourite bakeries on Tuesday evening.

"Mariah gave into her cravings, sneaking out for a late-evening snack at Midtown's Sprinkles Cupcakes," reports New York Post. "When the songbird showed up at the cupcake mecca past 9pm, she found the place locked and the staff cleaning up."

Even though the cupcake store was closed, the staff were happy to open up and let Mariah place an order. The singer looked thrilled as she requested her favourite sugary treats and a drink to takeaway.

"They flung open the doors for the diva, and gave her a dozen red velvets to box up," the publication added. "Carey ordered a cup of milk to wash it all down."

Mariah has made no secret of her desire to shape up.

She has been posting photographs of herself jogging with her dogs around New York and also working out by the ocean. (C) Cover Media
