The 35-year-old music producer, who has worked with a host of music icons over the years including Amy Winehouse and Boy George, revealed a guaranteed way for a girl to win his heart.

The star reckons he judges any potential companion by their film taste and more specifically one of Woody Allens enduring classic movies.

To me, Annie Hall is the perfect film. If a girl texts the whole through, I can tell she is not for me, he told Marie Claire magazine.

Aside from potential partners, the musician is keeping himself busy putting the finishing touches to his collaborative album with popular British band Duran Duran, titled All You Need Is Now, set for release later this month.

Mark, who has previously lauded the band as one of his major childhood influences, spoke of their 1982 classic second album as integral to his creative juices.
