Without making any buzz, Sundar C has started shooting for his directorial venture Masala Cafe, which has Vimal, Mirchi Shiva, Anjali, Oviya and Santhanam in important roles.

The film's shoot started in Kumbakonam on Wednesday. It will be completed in one go and will be made to hit the screens in the first quarter of 2012, according to sources close to the actor-director.

Produced jointly by Kushboo's Avni Cine Max and UTV Motion Pictures, the film is a comic entertainer. To the director's fans, it will be a welcome move to see him writing and directing, rather than facing the camera.

Recently, Kushboo has said that her husband has penned the lyrics for a song in Masala Cafe. Vijay Ebenezer is the music composer of the movie.
