(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Matt LeBlanc can smell a joke 50 miles away, claims his latest co-star.

The actor is making a return to the small screen to star in new comedy Episodes. The show follows two British television producers as they try to re-make their hit programme for an American audience. Matt plays a parody of himself in the sitcom and his co-star Tamsin Greig was very impressed by his natural comedic timing.

He is amazing, he is extraordinary. He is so completely himself and he can smell a joke 50 miles away, Tamsin said during an interview with the BBC. I think it takes a lot of confidence and self-belief to be able to parody yourself, particularly in America where there is a lack of self-irony.

Tamsin went on to reveal Matt instantly felt a connection to the script, which was written by David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik. David and Matt previously worked together on Friends and the actor felt confident they could have another hit if they teamed up again.

He trusts the writers, David Crane is one of them and he created Friends. He loves those guys as writers and trusts their vision, Tamsin explained. He went for lunch and they pitched the idea and he was immediately on board. (C) Cover Media
