(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Matt LeBlanc says he was smart to earn $1.3 million per Friends episode.

The actor, who has returned to the television screens starring as himself in UK comedy, Episodes, made his name playing Joey Tribbiani in the classic US show. Despite the series ending in 2004 Matt still looks back on his time on the Friends set fondly and in particular his enormous salary.

Charlie Sheen earns $2m a show now [for the comedy Two and a Half Men]. But the thing with us was that all six of us made that. By the time the show ended, they had each made $100m, he told British newspaper The Sunday Times.

Asked if he felt he was worth the large wage Matt replied,

Yeah. Thats irrelevant! We were in a position to get the money. If youre in a position to get the money and you dont, youre stupid, he added confirming he was smart to be paid so much.

The 43-year-old initially struggled to move on from the sitcom, starring in the disastrous spinoff show Joey, which was cancelled after only two seasons. Matt however refuses to acknowledge this career dip as he feels he already made his mark playing the dim witted Italian. As a result he is now able to indulge in his favourite pastime.
