(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves have sparked rumours they have secretly wed after she referred to herself as his wife.

The couple began dating in 2006 and they have son Levi, two, and 15-month-old daughter Vida together. There have been rumours the pair might marry following claims Camila was keen to make their relationship more permanent, and speculation has reached fever pitch following an apparent slip-of-the-tongue by the model.

It doesnt matter whether I was a model, being on TV, or being a mom or wife, I think we all want to look good. We all want to look good no matter what were doing, she said, while wearing a simple gold band on her ring finger.

Realising she had slipped up Camila than quickly backtracked, adding: I was talking about everyone being a wife.

The star added she is enjoying every second of being a mother at the moment, as Levi has started to play pretend. That means her days are generally taken up with chasing dinosaurs and crocodiles around the family home.

Camila was speaking at Redbooks MVP Beauty Awards in New York, so talk soon turned to her appearance. The 29-year-old was only too happy to open up about her previous fashion mistakes, the first of which came about when she was just seven.

She wanted to cut her hair short in a style with bangs called the Chanel like her school pals, but her mother banned her because her locks were too curly. Camila went ahead anyway, a decision she still regrets.

I left the house and I walked to the salon by myself at seven years old, and got my hair cut in the Chanel style. And I went back home, and I think I cried for a month straight because my hair was in a full shape, and my bangs would stick up so high for months that I thought I had a baseball cap the whole time, she told the American edition of OK! magazine.
