Matthew McConaughey wants adventurous marriage

13th June 2012

Matthew McConaughey sees marriage as an "adventure".

The actor tied the knot with his fiance Camila Alves at his home in Austin, Texas, last weekend.

Photographs from the wedding have appeared in People magazine, with Matthew and Camila proudly gracing the front cover. In the picture the newlyweds are seen gazing into each other's eyes, with Matthew's arm around Camila's waist. The Brazilian model is stunning in a long-sleeved white lace wedding gown, beaded headdress and veil, while Matthew looks every inch the Hollywood heartthrob in a Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo.

"We decided to embrace the ritual of marriage as an opportunity and adventure we'll take together," Matthew told the publication in an accompanying interview.

The couple wed in front of 120 guests, including stars such as Woody Harrelson and Reese Witherspoon. They are believed to have whispered their vows to another, with Camila shedding tears as Matthew made his promises to her.

Their two children were also involved in the nuptials. Levi, three, acted as the ring bearer, while two-year-old Vida was a flower girl.

Camila is confident the kids had a good grasp of what was happening during the intimate ceremony.

"Somehow they both seem to understand what we are doing on a spiritual level," the 29-year-old beauty smiled.

The pair are believed to have shunned the tradition of wedding cake and a first dance. Instead, guests were treated to a selection of sumptuous deserts, before dancing into the early hours with the newlyweds who enjoyed a series of passionate kisses on the dance floor.

Camila has officially taken Matthew's surname and the 42-year-old hunk is clearly enjoying married life - he has been spotted leaving a gym in Austin proudly wearing a gold wedding ring.
