(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Megan Fox has landed a role in Sacha Baron Cohen's new movie The Dictator.

The Hollywood beauty will make a cameo appearance in the comedy, which also stars Anna Faris and Ben Kingsley. Fox's latest project comes just days after it was reported that she was fired from the Transformers franchise after comparing director Michael Bay to German dictator Adolf Hitler.

Bay has claimed that Steven Spielberg, who is a producer on the new movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon, was furious after Fox commented the filmmaker "wants to be like Hitler on his sets" during an interview.

The director who insists he was not upset by Fox's comments - says Spielberg told him to cut the actress from the latest instalment, which also stars Shia LaBeouf.

John C. Reilly is also believed to have joined the cast of The Dictator, which is being directed by Larry Charles whose previous credits include Borat.

The movie has been described as "the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed". Cohen is playing two roles - a goat herder and a deposed foreign ruler who gets lost in America.

The film is currently in production in New York and the film is slated for release in May 2012. (C) Cover Media
