Michael Jackson: Events Leading To His Death Recounted By The Detective

11th January 2011

January 11, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): Michael Jackson is dead over a year now and the mystery still unfolds as the trail of Dr. Conrad Murray began. Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter and is the main accused in the death of Michael Jackson which was caused due to drug overdose. Detective Orlando Martinez, interviewed Murray for three hours after the death of the singer.

As the case opened, detective Martinez recounted all the events that Murray told him that led to the death of Michael. Martinez stated that according to Murray he has been administering the dose of propofol for six nights in a week and was trying to wean it for past two months. But on the night of Michaels death, the singer was having trouble sleeping and begged for his white milk. Jackson even told Murray that he would have to cancel his much anticipated comeback tour This Is It if he didnt get the powerful anesthetic.

So, the doctor finally bowed down to Michaels pressure and administered the dose and went to the bathroom. But he was shocked to see that Jackson was not breathing and tried to do CPR. When quizzed about why Murray conducted it on the soft bed and not on a hard surface, to which a witness said that Murray couldnt move Jackson. The Deputy District Attorney David Walgren, however, said that Jackson was frail and weighed only 136 pounds while Murray is 225pounds and 6feet 5 inches tall.

The defense also came up with a proposition that Murray had not administered the dose, Michael would have done it himself as the entertainer had told the doctor earlier that he can self-administer propofol. There are also records that Murray called 911 much later and didnt ask for help immediately.

Dr. Conrad Murray has pleaded non-guilty to the charges of involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson but if they are proved to be true and convicted then Murray will be sentenced to four years behind the bars.
