(Cover) - EN Movies - Michael Sucsy will direct the movie adaptation of yet-to-be published novel Rosaline.
Michael is best known for directing acclaimed 2009 drama Grey Gardens, which starred Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange.
According to Showblitz, the moviemaker's next job will be helming the Rosaline film adaptation, which will be an update on the classic William Shakespeare tragedy Romeo and Juliet.
Written by Rebecca Serle, the novel Rosaline is set to be published in June next year. Based on the book, the movie will recount the Romeo and Juliet love story from the point of view of the former's former love interest Rosaline and will be set in the 16th century.
21 Laps Entertainment will produce the film for Fox 2000, after they optioned the rights to the novel last year.
Michael excels in the relationship genre, and directed romantic drama The Vow, which is scheduled for release in February 2012 and stars Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum. (C) Cover Media
