The 30-year-old US socialite has experimented with an edgy new look for V magazine, where she sports blunt bangs and raunchy gothic-style attire.

The blonde beauty was happy to embrace the daring style for the shoot, as she always likes to stand out from the crowd, and compared her originality and willingness to experiment to a toy doll.

"I'm very fun, and I'm very daring. I don't copy anybody," she smiled. "I'm like my own Barbie doll!"

Despite considering herself unique, the heiress did concede that she does look to other celebrities for inspiration. As well as considering late Hollywood icons such as Marilyn Monroe as idols, she also has great respect for powerful businesswomen such as Martha Stewart.

"I have always admired Marilyn Monroe, because the camera loved her. Audrey Hepburn, for being so classic, and Kate Moss. I have always looked up to Martha Stewart and Oprah Winfrey," she explained.

Paris, who has been linked to Hangover director Todd Phillips since her recent split from long-term boyfriend Cy Waits, also reflected on her image as a party girl. The beautiful star admits moving to New York at the age of 15 saw her thrust into the glamorous party scene.

"This whole socialite scene opened up for me that's when it all changed," she mused. (C) Cover Media
