Actor Mithun Chakraborty, who had been indirectly involved in the recent Saradha scam has returned over Rs. 1.19 crore to the enforcement directorate after being questioned in connection with the Saradha Scam.  

The amount was paid to him to promote the Saradha Group. The company was involved in multi crore chit fund scam and Mithun was an anchor in a TV channel owned by the Saradha group.

The actor was questioned by Executive Director last month on his ties with the group. And finally today on his birthday, he took the step to come out clean from this scam.
