(Cover) - EN Movies - Mlanie Laurent will star alongside Jesse Eisenberg in magic based heist movie Now You Can See Me.

The French actress, who shot to fame after starring in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, has signed to the picture, which is being directed by Louis Leterrier. The film focuses on the world's greatest illusionists who rob banks in their spare time. Complications arise with the news that the FBI are closing in on them.

The original idea was to have older actors in the magician roles, with Hugh Grant and Colin Firth once reportedly considered before the studio decided to look for more younger talent like Jesse and Jake Gyllenhaal, who has also been offered a part. Olivia Wilde and Philip Seymour Hoffman are also rumoured to be starring in the thriller, which is written by Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt.

Mlanie recently starred in the drama Beginners alongside Ewan McGregor and Christopher Plummer. (C) Cover Media
