A gore blood-drenched terror

The Collection is a sequel to Marcus Dunstan‘s 2009 horror film 'The Collector'. The film sustains a significant degree of tension throughout, with variety scenes standing out -breaking of an arm to smooth the progress of escape provoked a forceful reaction that will stay in your reminiscence for a period of time.

In the film, Collector survivor Arkin (Josh Stewart) escapes during one of the madman’s killing sprees watching helplessly as the executioner captures teenager Elena Peters (Emma Fitzpatrick) for his collection. After the police fail to apprehend the Collector, and fearing that the killer will eventually come for his family, Arkin agrees to help a search and rescue squad recruited by Elena's father (Christopher McDonald) and led by family friend, Lucello (Lee Tergesen).

The cast accomplished fine performances with Josh Stewart as the central character you want to see survive and torture the villain black and blue with no compassion. With attention needed in order to escape the misery, Arkin shot down two guiltless men from one of the Collector’s cabin. A number of scenes are remarkable and refreshing though it is gruesome.

With frantic fear and unruffled panic driving the characters toward agonizing disaster and potential death, the film executed a different thrill on the traditional kill trap set-up. It is ridiculously creative in generating killing machines utilizing catapults, blades, nails, trap doors, trick doors, and cages among others.

For fans of horror, or anyone who has enjoyed the gore and blood-spattered movies, it might just be worth watching for its hysterical anxiety and fear.
