When filmmakers are planning to make a suspense-thriller, they usually go by their instincts of choosing heroes with brawny looks. But Mysskin had a different taste and apparently signed Cheran for the role of a CBCID officer. With the film doing good business at box office and Cheran winning laurels for his performance level, Mysskin's decision has yielded favorable results. Says Mysskin: 'When I completed working on the script, I was looking out for an actor possessing natural looks and Cheran was the first choice. Of course, he has done a brilliant job sticking to his role and the new avatar has established his capabilities of performing action-packed roles as well.
