Close on the heels of Sona claiming in an interview to a Tamil weekly, that Namitha had not responded to her call and SMS, Namitha on Sunday came out with a hard hitting statement asking why should she reply to Sona?

"Sona has involved in a cheap publicity gimmick by imitating me in her films and by dragging my name while speaking to the media. I don't know who she is. Why should I respond to her claims," asked Namitha.

Namitha added: "Sona should immediately stop this. She has been involved in cheap publicity stunts. This is not the first time for her to imitate me in films. She should actually feel ashamed of this."

In her interview, Sona claimed that many told her that her character and performance in 'Ko' (as an actress) resembled Namitha a lot. "To know Namitha's response, I called her, but she didn't pick up. Later I SMSed her and she replied saying "Don't call me".
