Soundarya, the younger daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth, offered prayers at the Lord Balaji Temple at Tirumala on Sunday, thanking the Almighy for the speedy recovery of her father from a kidney-related ailment. Accompanied by her husband Ashwin, who is an entrepreneur, Soundarya came to the temple Sunday morning and made an entry through the VIP gate. "I came here to express my gratitude to Lord Venkateswara," she said.

Soundarya runs Ocher Studios, whose maiden production venture was Venkat Prabhu directed Goa. She is currently the executive producer of 'Rana', which is the Superstar's forthcoming film, directed by K S Ravikumar.

Expecting Rajini's arrival to Tirupati, a large number of his fans thronged the temple town. On coming to know that the matinee idol's daughter only was there, they met her and conveyed their greetings to Rajinikanth.
