With the success of filmmaker Imtiaz Ali's 'Rockstar', film's lead actress Nargis Fakhri became a star overnight.

She who was paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor in the film got a flying start to her career in Bollywood with her debut film itself.

Everyone believed that Nargis was the next big thing to watch out for, but unfortunately things didn't fall as expected. She failed to carry forward her filmy career and lost out on many plum offers.

While people kept wondering, Nargis recently revealed the reason behind it. "I got a lot of offers after Rockstar, but was totally dependent on the team managing my work who did not want me to sign any of the films I was offered even though I wanted to," said Nargis.

She confessed that it was their plan to keep the mystique alive around her. "As a part of their strategy, they cut me off from everyone around. It was extremely hard for me as I was completely new to the city, country and the industry," said Nargis.

However, after a few setbacks, the actress is back on recovery. She said that she is on the verge of signing a couple of exciting films.
