It is a horror drama featuring Nargis Fakhri and Sachiin Joshi helmed by Bhushan Patel which was all set for a January 11 release. But with 'URI: the surgical strike' and 'The Accidental Prime Minister' locking the date, 'Amavas' makers opted for a Feb 1 release date. However, now, the makers have come up with a new final release date of the film which is 8th of February which means that this Nargis Fakhri starrer gets a solo release date.
The film has been majorly shot in a royal palace in Sussex, England. The place is known to be one of the haunted places in England. 'Amavas' will also feature other actors including Navneet Kaur Dhillon, Mona Singh, Ali Asgar and Vivan Bhathena in the pivotal role.
In an interview with a leading daily, Sachiin Joshi, said, "We have made the film that we envisioned, but with so many releases one has to ensure that the film gets the correct showcasing and is able to reach out to a wide audience. We are happy that we’ve got a clear week."
The film is helmed by Bhushan Patel is known for making horror flicks such as '1920: Evil Returns' (2012), 'Alone' (2015) and 'Ragini MMS 2' (2014). Nargis was last seen in Rajkummar Rao starrer '5 Weddings' which miserably failed at the box-office.
