Bollywood veteran Naseeruddin Shah has been famous for his knack to pick the best of roles. He is popular amongst the filmmakers for his penchant to be thorough with the film's script without which he never signs a film.
However, this time though he made an exception for hit filmmaker Anees Bazmee.
When Anees took the offer to Naseer to star in the film 'Welcome Back' (Sequel to 'Welcome'), he was anxious as he didn't have a bound script.
While Naseer signs a film only after reading the script, Anees believes in the practical nature of filmmaking and hence briefs his actors with narrations rather than scripts. And hence, both Anees and Naseer had to overcome their pattern to work with each other.
They had three or four meetings and finally only when Bazmee gave a visual narration, Naseer agreed to do the role without asking for the script.
Naseer's role in the film is based on Feroz Khan's role in the original. It has also been said that he will be in a never seen before avatar.
Many national and international artists are currently working on his look and the developments over the same have been closely guarded.
