(Cover) - EN Star Style - Natalie Portman prefers to dress down in a pair of sweats when shes in private.

The 29-year-old actress always looks very chic on the red carpet, and has become something of a style icon in recent years.

But pretty Natalie insists fashion isnt actually that important to her, and she isnt like some trend-obsessed celebrities who purchase a new dress every season.

I don't dress up very much while I'm in private, she told the German edition of OK! Magazine.

My outfits have to be comfortable. I don't wear anything special - no special designers, I prefer sweats and when I go out a warm jacket. I don't buy something new every season.

Fortunately for the successful movie star, Natalie often gets to borrow dresses made by top fashion houses such as Chanel and Lanvin. Being adored by some of the worlds most iconic designers means the brunette beauty doesnt have to worry about spending her money on looking glamorous, although she often forgets who shes wearing.

I couldn't tell you the designer of the dress I am wearing right now. It was given to me as a loan, she explained. (C) Cover Media
