(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Natalie Wood's death certificate has been amended to reflect new information on her demise.

The actress was found dead during a yacht trip in 1981 off the coast of California with her husband Robert Wagner and her co-star Christopher Walken from the 1983 released film Brainstorm. She passed away at the age of 43.

According the Associated Press, the updated document now reflects that Natalie's death happened as a result of "drowning and other undetermined factors". The circumstances surrounding how she got into the water are "not clearly established".

Although the death certificate alterations were approved by the Los Angeles County Chief Medical Examiner's office in June, the changes were not made official until earlier this month.

Last December police authorities reopened the inquiry into Natalie's death.

The coroner's office prompted officials to change the certificate information and has advised police not to discuss details of the case. (C) Cover Media
