Nicole Richie insists she's "not ready" to add to her brood.

The reality TV star has two children with husband Joel Madden; daughter Harlow, four, and two-year-old son Sparrow.

Even though she loves family life, Nicole's not prepared for another addition just yet.

"I'm not ready for baby number three it's not something I'm discussing with Joel at the moment, but maybe we'll have another child sometime in the future," she told Closer magazine. "It's a full-time job taking care of two children, but they mean everything to me. It's hard to balance being a full-time mom and having a career, but somehow you manage.

"Being a mom has really changed me for the better they're my number one priority. Nothing can prepare you for that kind of responsibility."

Nicole is said to be busy with her fashion lines and upcoming TV show, while Joel has been busy in the recording studio and has landed a spot on the judging panel for Australia's version of The Voice.

The stunning star pines for her beau when he's not around.

"Of course, I really miss Joel when he's away filming The Voice in Australia because we like to be a proper family unit," she added.

"I will take the kids to see him in Sydney because it's important for us to all be together."
