'LOC - Kargil' was the first movie to see Bollywood's loved couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor and then the two came together for 'Tashan' followed by 'Kurbaan' and then, 'Agent Vinod'.
So there were speculations that the two who tied the knot late last year would be seen together onscreen a lot more after their official hook-up.
Besides, given the fact that the duo is flooded with endorsement offers to support brands as a couple, fans are eagerly waiting to see them together on the big screen as well.
However, Saif put an end to the rumors at a recent event, as he clearly stated that he is 'too comfortable' with his wife Bebo to be competitive as an actor onscreen. He stated that given the extreme comfort level that he shares with Kareena, he lets his guards down when sharing the screen with her and this ironically turns him into a 'not-so-interesting character' as a co-star with her.
Giving it a more professional spin, the actor further added that as actors it is important to maintain ones identity as an individual. Saif was quick to cite an example from the West, as he expressed that Hollywood stars Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz, who are married to each other, ensure that none talks about the other when dicussing about their work.
Then, Saif took it up a notch higher by sharing that Hollywood couples are only seen together at private events and the Western media sure respects the fact by treating each of the two as specific entities and they do not paint them with a broad 'couple' brush like here in Bollywood.
Let's hope Saif and Kareena are on the same page here, as the actress has no qualms talking about her hubby at events. This was seen at the success bash of 'Talaash' where the actress could not stop talking about Saif and his film 'Cocktail'.
