Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra has been lauded for her acting capabilities. The actress who has won praises for her performances in films like 'Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl', 'Ishaqzaade' and 'Hasee Toh Phasee' has been regarded as one of the brightest stars of gen next.
But despite of all the success and accolades, the actress has had her share of criticism. She recently confessed that the criticism has affected her a lot."I want to balance it out. I want to act well and look good," she said.
Though she is not giving in the pressure to follow the trend of size zero figure, the actress confesses that she is looking forward to lose some weight.
She claims that she now aims to look fitter and better. And she also states that until and unless a role demands, nobody likes a fat actress.
"Onscreen when some one is fat, unless your character demands it, people don't enjoy watching you. Nobody likes a fat actress," she said. She also adds that as she is quite young, she needs to look her age, also so that she can wear whatever she wants.
"Everyone in the industry - boy or girl - looks so good. I am only 25, so I told myself that 'I have to lose weight. I have to look better, fitter and younger," she added. She has taken inspirations from her seniors including her sister PC.
"There are so many actresses like my sister Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, they all are good actresses and they look awesome," she stated.
Though there are no reports of her donning a bikini onscreen, she hints that she wouldn't mind it and would be prepared for it when the opportunity comes. "On screen if you wear a bikini or shorts, if you are fitter, you look better," she said.
