Ajay takes a break from workouts

Renowned Indian actor Ajay Devgn has been famous for his fitness. Despite of being in his mid 40's, the actor has the mettle to beat any youngster when it comes to a chiseled physique and fitness.

When it comes to discipline and following a fitness regime, there's hardly anything that can stop him from dedicating a couple of hours for the same. But recently he had to give up on gym and his exercise regimes for his upcoming film 'Singham Returns'.

During the last schedule of the film's shooting, the team was running on a tight deadline. As they had already announced the release date, the team had to work doubly hard to complete the schedule on time so that the post production team had time to edit and promote the film well before its release.

The team was running on such a tight schedule that Ajay had to skip gym so that he could complete the shooting on time. For almost 3 months, the actor gave a miss to gym and worked out on sets.

"We were working day in and day out to finish the film. It has been a very taxing film for not only me but especially for Rohit and his team, I must say. I have been working out though but last three months were really difficult," said Ajay. But despite of that Ajay is no less fitter.

The actor is at the peak of his health and fitness. In fact you shouldn't be surprised to know that the despite of all the modern techniques to perform the stunt, Ajay not only performed the action scenes on his own but also did it without using any help.

"I did that because I wanted to prove to myself that I can still do the stunts that I did 20 years ago," smiled Ajay while confessing about the tests that he usually makes himself go through.
