The makers of Akshay Kumar's movie 'Khiladi 786' were hunting for it's leading lady for quite sometime. They were not just looking for someone to add a glam quotient to the film, but also someone who would do justice to the role of Mithun Da's younger sister.

Earlier, Nargis Fakhri was considered for the role, but considering the fact that Nargis would look really young to play Mithun Da's sister, she was dropped out of the project.

However, now we hear that Akshay's 'Housefull 2' co-star Asin has been finalized for the role.

Also, other than the reason mentioned above, sources also reveal that both Akshay and Himesh (co-producers of the film) were keen on having Asin as their leading lady.

Interestingly, Asin signed the project last Friday, a day before the film went on floors. However, the actress will join the shoot only next week.

Apart from Akshay and Asin in the lead roles, the film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Paresh Rawal and Himesh Reshammiya.

The film is directed by Rohit Shetty's associate Ashish R Mohan and will hit the theatres on December 7.
