There has been a lot of buzz about 'Udta Punjab' since the makers have released various character posters of the actors from the film. Now the official trailer of the film is out and has bagged the attention of the audience.

The trailer begins with a message that Punjab will become the next Mexico if the youth continue to get addicted to drugs. The trailer showcases the murky state of the rockstar who is addicted to drugs. Flashes of Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh can be seen as they mark their entries.

The next half of the trailer showcases Shahid Kapoor in a complete rockstar look with his quirky looking winged shoes and a line "Milna Hai Tommy Singh Se?" Alia Bhatt in her never-seen-before avatar is seen using abusive Bihari language which matches perfectly to her soiled clothes and a no-makeup look. While Diljit Dosanjh and Kareena Kapoor Khan seem to be playing lawmakers as both struggle to save the lives of the youth who are addicted to drugs.

As the poster bears a catchy line 'Drugs Di Maa Di' the trailer is riddled with imprecations and it wouldn't be wrong to expect much from the film.

Just like the posters, the trailer is also quirky in its own sense. It is a complete combination of  humour, emotions, excitement, tragedy, drama and surprises which has boosted the excitement to watch the film. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the film will release on June 17,2016.
