Olivia Wilde returning to House

21st March 2012

Olivia Wilde is heading back to television to reprise her role in House.

The popular show will air its series finale on May 21 and the actress has returned to film final scenes.

TV Line confirmed that Olivia's character Dr. Remy "Thirteen" Hadley will come back despite being fired by House, played by British actor Hugh Laurie.

He is said to have got rid of Thirteen as a favour so she wouldn't feel compelled to return to her role out of guilt after taking time off due to suffering from Huntington's disease.

The actress had taken some time off last season to focus on her burgeoning movie career after joining the award winning series in 2007.

"It's been an extraordinary time on the show for me, my work has gotten so much better from being on the show, from learning from Hugh and all the other actors and our amazing writing staff," Olivia said at the time.

"I see it as a chapter, a really important chapter in my life."

The 28-year-old's film career is not lacking after starring in movies like Tron: Legacy and The Change-Up.
