Olivia Wilde has shown that she still remains on friendly terms with her ex-husband.
The 27-year-old actress was seen going for a walk in New York City with Italian prince Tao Ruspoli last week despite finalising their divorce back in October.
Olivia and Tao, 36, were smiling together and appeared in good spirits confirming that they have remained close despite their split after eight years of marriage.
But the House star has admitted that her break up was not easy and she turned to the fridge for comfort.
"I got a divorce and self-medicated with food," she told Nylon magazine. "But I figure that's better than self-medicating with crack cocaine."
"We're friends; his family is my family. You always have a choice to feel angry and not be friends. But I can't handle the idea of walking into a room and seeing someone I have bad blood with. I can't keep any negative relationship with anyone."
Olivia has been linked to a plethora of Hollywood stars since her split including Bradley Cooper, Ryan Gosling, Justin Timberlake and Ryan Reynolds.
And she recently leapt to the defence of Kim Kardashian who had been criticised for ending her own marriage to Kris Humphries after 72 days.
"Kim took a risk. No one should be attacking her. Our attention should be focused on things that are truly scandalous," Olivia said.
The actress feels a connection with Kim because they have both been going through hard times but she wants people to understand how difficult getting divorced is.
"I empathise. It's not easy. It's the hardest thing in the world. People judge you because divorce is seen as failure," she told New York Post.
