(Cover) - EN Star Style - Orlando Bloom is a fan of Uniqlo because the store makes unpretentious clothing.
The actor is a brand ambassador for the Japanese fashion chain, along with Charlize Theron. He decided to work with the brand because the items are the sort of thing he would choose to wear, and he is passionate about the clothing being made.
The clothes are comfortable and the texture is great, he said. They are the kind of unpretentious clothes that anyone can wear.
Orlando appears in an advertising campaign for the store, which began airing in Japan last week. The promo is shot to look like a documentary, and sees the star snowboarding in the dead of winter while dressed in pieces from the Uniqlo range.
A new collection of HeatTech shirts is being released, which are made of exothermic and insulating fabrics. The clothing sucks up the moisture exuded by the body and turns it into warmth, while a special milk protein has been added into the fabric to ensure they are soft to the skin.
Clad also in a down parka, Bloom says on the soundtrack that Uniqlo clothes are perfect for winter days when you just have to get out, whatever the weather, reports British newspaper The Independent. (C) Cover Media
