Great news for the makers of this highly anticipated as well as controversial period drama 'Padmaavat' that will be releasing in all states as per Supreme Court's order. The Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh starrer film surrounded some serious controversy to distort historical facts. Meanwhile, recent reports suggest that Supreme Court has given its nod for the release in all other Indian states agreeing the written petition that was earlier filed by the makers of Padmaavat.
This means that the ban in four states i.e Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan is now uplifted but it seems like the distributors won't take the risk to screen it. After getting the green signal from CBFC and imposing the ordered modifications, the film still faced the ban on four states.
Henceforth the producers argued that the Supreme Court had earlier clarified that a screening of a movie can be banned in a particular area only in relation to the law and order in that area. They challenged this complete ban through a written petition and they were responded positively.
The film also features Aditi Rao Hydari, Jim Sarbh and Raza Murad in pivotal roles which is set to release on January 25.
