The video featuring Bollywood's bold and beautiful actress Parineeti Chopra lashing out a journalist over a sexist comment recently went viral on social media. Parineeti herself is surprised with this sudden popularity of the video.
"Some people messaged complementing and that is when I came to know about the video going viral now and I was like 'ye kahan se aaya ? Itna late reaction kyun ispe?," said Parineeti.
When asked if she was really mad at the man for making a sexist comment, she recollects that she didn't like the way he had put up the comment.
"The man said the most absurd sexist thing. I would have hit him. Most people told me that they are proud of me so I know I am right," she added.
Ask her if she as a girl feels vulnerable in a time where there is a rape complaint registered every second hour, and the actress replies affirmatively.
"Yes it makes me feel vulnerable as I run my own errands like buying groceries and stuff without security. I have many meetings and other stuff because of which I am often out till 1-2 am and when I am returning home I don't know what can happen," she states.
She further exclaims that guys don't have to live with this fear which she thinks is not fair.
"I feel its unfair. I am sure no boy would feel scared to walk on road at two o'clock in the night. But as a girl I can't do that and I don't understand this kind of discrimination," she sighs.
