Pearl Lowe proud of vintage collection

24th November 2010

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Pearl Lowe is proud shes managed to create glamorous designs which also look vintage.

The former singer has now turned her hand to fashion, coming up with collections for British retailer Peacocks. Her designs have gone down a storm all over the world, despite their budget prices. One 35 tea dress has already been snapped up by Sharleen Spiteri and Natalie Imbruglia, with Courtney Love asking Pearl if she could help her get her hands on one over Twitter.

Pearl thinks the success of her creations is down to the fact she always thinks of real women when coming up with them. She wants females of all ages to be able to wear her pieces, and puts a lot of time into the design process.

Im designing four collections for Peacocks a year. Im just overwhelmed by the response from it all, so its kind of amazing, she said. Theyre to the knee, and theyve got sleeves and theyre glamorous. I try to make it so they look vintage and theyre really good fabrics. I went to Hong Kong and I sourced all the fabrics and went to the factories.

Pearls model daughter Daisy Lowe has modelled some of the collections. She is continually amazed with how driven Daisy is, and is fiercely proud of her. The model has landed contracts with some of the biggest designers in the world, including Vivienne Westwood, Chanel and Agent Provocateur.

Shes incredible, shes such an amazing person, Pearl said on a UK TV show. Shes doing really well and things are going really well for her. (C) Cover Media
