The 'Mungaru Male' heroine Pooja Gandhi, who created history with her debut film in 2007, remembers the songs of the film event, to this day.

At the AIDS awareness campaign, Pooja Gandhi rendered a song of 'Mungaru Male' and surprised everyone. In her speech, Pooja Gandhi urged everyone not to look at AIDS patients as untouchables in society.

Pooja Gandhi participated in the BMS Engineering College 'Utsav-2011'. She requested the people to allow the HIV+ victims to live like others.

Pooja Gandhi is on a hiatus from cinema. During this break she has announced that she will take up social service. On HIV/AIDS and rehabilitation of women and children, she has already taken up a few causes in remote parts of Karantaka.
