Prem's festival promise

21st July 2011
Director Prem is accused of making grand promises and failing to keep them. It seemed to be the same with 'Jogaiah' as well, with the release date getting announced a few times, all turning out to be rumours.

This time however, Prem was confident. "The film will release on Varamahalakshmi day, I promise you all," he said. He went on in the same breath: "The film has not yet been censored, so I can't give you the exact date." Before chaos struck, the film's hero, Hattrick hero Shivarajkumar calmed down the situation, chiding Prem's behaviour, in a playful manner. Shivanna is happy that the film has shaped up well.

Prem then revealed that the film would be releasing in 250 theatres, more than what he had promised during 'Raaj – The Showman'. "Jogaiah" will be released not only in Karnataka but also Tamil Nadu, Hyderabad, Dubai and the US – which Prem preferred to call a 'world-wide' release.

He plans to release "Jogaiah" in two main theatres as opposed to one – so that there wouldn't be too much over-crowding and subsequent disasters. Smart thinking, eh?
