Actress Priyamani is often known for her glamorous roles as compared to roles which bring out her talent as an actress, though she has always shown a lot of potential to perform even challenging roles.

For the first time, the Telugu Film Industry will get to see her show her real acting talent with the film, 'Kshetram'. Touted to be a period film, the film revolves around the story of Veera Narasimha Rayalu and Naga Penchalamma, and the sacrifices they make for the cause of their people.

Filmmaker Venugopal says that it will be a great turning point for the actress as she has got a prominent role to perform. The film features Jagapathi Babu in the lead role while Sham ('Kick' fame) has an important role. Recently, a few scenes were shot against the backdrop of grand gigantic sets erected in Ramoji Film City.
